The Campo del Cielo iron meteorite called Field of the Heavens, fell 4200 - 4700 years ago, about 1000 km northwest of Buenos Aires in Argentina. More than 100 tons of material has been recovered so far with the biggest piece, called 'el Chaco', weighing 37 tons. This fragment consists of 92.2% iron, 6.68% nickel, 1.12% cobalt and a small percentage of phosphorus, germanium and gallium.
